Day Camp Lifeguard -

Spring and/or Summer

We are seeking experienced lifeguards that wish to make a positive impact in the community.

 

​Lifeguard certification is required.
 

Pay: CA$22.00 per hour
Location: Coquitlam, BC. Port Coquitlam, BC. Port Moody, BC.

Schedule: Full-time March 16–27, 2026 and/or June 26–Sept. 4 for eligible CSJ candidates.

  • - Safety-First: You’re a pro at managing groups near water (lakes and pools), and ensuring ​everyone's safety, ​wellness, and engagement.
  • - Community Builder: You thrive on building positive relationships with parents, kids, youth, staff, volunteers, and the ​com​mun​ity​​​​.
  • - Resourceful: You have a "toolbox" full of games and activities ready to go.

 

Prerequisites:

  • ​- Lifeguard Certification.
  • - Current Police Information Check & First Aid Certification.
  • - Canada Summer Jobs requires all candidates hired for summer be under the age of 31 and a Permanent Resident, Canadian Citizen, or Protected Person.

 

What Your Days Will Look Like:

  • - Help Lead the Adventure: Collaboratively lead games and activities at beautiful spots like White Pine Beach and Coquitlam River. 
  • - Navigate the Day: Ensure safety around water, and de-escalate challenges with a calm, respectful approach.
  • - Col​labo​r​a​te with the Camp Coordinator and Camp Director along with Adm​in, C​a​mp ​Leaders, and Volunt​eers.
  • - Train​ an​d mentor staff and​ volunteers​.
  • - The posit​​i​on will be ou​td​oors, collaborativel​y l​eading one of our camps​. 

 

Locations: Out-trips at our Tri-C​​​ities Camps include White Pine Beach, the Coquitlam River, Poirier Pool, the C​oquitlam Aquatic Complex, Spani Pool, Eagle Ridge Pool, Centennial Pool, Crash Crawly's (if there's heavy rain or wildfire smoke), and more. We meet at (or near) the out-tri​p of the day.
