Explore Vancouver West Side’s Iconic Beaches, Forests, Playgrounds, Parks, and Pools

Our Vancouver West Side summer camp explores the community’s stunning coastline and iconic urban parks. We venture between forest shade, mountain-view parks, and the city's most famous shorelines on daily out-trips to places such as:

Jericho Beach, Kitsilano (Kits) Beach, and Spanish Banks: On our beach days, we head to these expansive Vancouver beaches, which provide plenty of space for games, outdoor play, and shoreline exploration.

Queen Elizabeth Park: Located at the highest point in Vancouver, we explore the lush green spaces and scenic trails of this 130-acre space, enjoying a variety of outdoor activities.

Hillcrest Pool and Maple Grove Pool: We stay cool with swimming sessions at Hillcrest Aquatic Centre (near QE Park) and the Maple Grove Outdoor Pool in Kerrisdale.

Indoor Backup Plan: If the Vancouver weather calls for a break from the outdoors—whether it's heavy rain or wildfire smoke—we transition our activities to places such as local indoor pools for indoor fun.

The Rainforest Philosophy

Our non-profit camps prioritize nature-immersion and active, outdoor play. We are participant-centred, following the unique interests and curiosity of every camper to spark self-discovery. We strive to cultivate a community built on kindness, respect, empathy, and connection.

As a screen-free environment, we trade devices for discovery. Our team is composed of career professionals, including Teachers, EAs, and Lifeguards, who bring maturity and expertise to the field. We aim to maintain low 1:5 ratios at our summer camps (supported by dedicated volunteers) to ensure optimal safety and mentorship.

We seek to empower, inspire, and create community through every adventure.

Our goal is to create the safest, healthiest, and most respectful community possible. We have a zero-tolerance policy for physical, verbal, and emotional violence. If a camper is violent, their family will be called to pick them up and the rest of their camp registration will be cancelled and refunded.
